I am complaining about two incorrect invoices and the wrongful arrear, late payment charge and disconnection notice that followed from them. 1. Incorrect Invoice No. 10008388069 dated 07.07.2026 I submitted my self-reading of 414.977 on 06.07.2026 through the IGL Connect app. Actual consumption: 414.977 − 369.661 = 45.316 SCM (04.04.2026 to 06.07.2026, 94 days). Your own Bill History in Invoice No. 10009120237 records this period as 45.320 SCM. Charges: 45.316 × ₹47.23 = ₹2,140.27. VAT at 5% is ₹107.01. The correct gas bill is ₹2,247.28. The consumption cycle table in that invoice has three rows. The estimated charge of ₹2,597.65 (88 days) appears twice, together with the actual-reading row of ₹2,140.27, and all three were added to arrive at Gas Consumption Charges of ₹7,335.57. Only one row should have been billed. The invoice contradicts itself: “Amount Payable” at the top shows ₹3,247.28, while “Total Payable (A+B+C)” shows ₹5,844.93. I had already paid my estimated bills. The invoice itself shows an adjustment of ₹2,727.53 for them. After this adjustment the correct gas position is ₹2,247.28 − ₹2,727.53 = a credit of ₹480.25, not ₹4,844.93. 2. Incorrect Invoice No. 10009120237 dated 06.10.2026 (Estimated) Wrongful arrear of ₹3,247.28: This is the headline figure of the previous invoice (₹2,247.28 gas + ₹1,000 Part C). It was calculated without giving credit for the ₹2,727.53 already paid, so the gas portion of the arrear is wrong. “Adjustment for Estimated Bills” is also shown as ₹0.00. Overstated estimate: Gas Consumption Charges of ₹5,020.08 plus VAT ₹251.00, totaling ₹5,271.08, have been billed for 07.07.2026 to 30.09.2026 (86 days). This equals about 104 SCM. As per the invoice’s own figures (average consumption 0.571 SCM/day, rate ₹50.59/SCM incl. VAT), the estimate should be about 86 × 0.571 × 50.59 = ₹2,484.27. The bill is overstated by about ₹2,786.81. The rate of ₹50.59 applies only from 02.09.2026, so the correct figure may be even lower. A late payment charge of ₹10.00 has been levied on this disputed arrear. The invoice shows Total Payable ₹9,028.36 and a disconnection date of “Immediate”. 3. Summary of my calculation Correct gas dues: ₹2,484.27 (estimate) − ₹480.25 (credit) = ₹2,004.02. Adding the Part C (EMI) items of ₹500 The correct total is about ₹2,504.02, against ₹9,028.36 billed. 4. My earlier complaints were not resolved I complained on 11.08.2026 (Ticket No. 9916923008) and again on 30.07.2026 (Ticket No. 9916807218). Both tickets were closed without any resolution or explanation.
